I was inspired by Flintman's post to find the #1 song when you were born, and decided to post the #1 song when you graduated highschool. I was suprised to find that the #1 song on my graduation day was "I like the way you...(The kissing game)", by Hi-Five. Never heard of the song OR the artist. Guess it's a testament to how much I paid attention to the top 40 at that time...or any time actually. Just seems like I shoulda known that. Hmmmm.http://www.joshhosler.biz/NumberOneInHistory/SelectMonth.htm OK, so lets see yours.

Tie a yellow ribbon 'round an old oak tree, by Tony Orlando, and Dawn. Surely you are not 52 years old though?

Well, I couldn't remember if it was June 6th or 9th in 1981, and I'm not goin' diggin' around in the junk room to find out . The same song was number one on both of those days anyhow. And it is......drum roll......"Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes. Some of you younger folks might recognize it too, a remake was done by Gwyneth Paltrow a few years back. I actually always kinda liked that song :smile2:. Here's a lyrics link.
