1 man pit

    Anyone ever made a 1 man pit? You can take a 55 gallon drum and split it long ways, cut the end out of 1 end of each half, put a bead of silicone and pop rivet the 2 ends together. It's best to fasten a couple pieces of angle iron to one end to keep it from rolling and also make a baskrest in it. With a rope attached you can drag your dekes to your set up.We always carried some webbing or burlap to cover up with. They are cheap,easy to make and not for use in much water:eek:oooh:In a dry field, they work fine.

    Ya talking plastic or steel drum John? I have seen them plastic jobs and they could be spray painted pretty easliy any camo color.

    Go measure a 55 gallon drum,Guys. I ll bet its bigger than ya think as far as heigth But there aint much gettin around the width issue:wink:
