Been looking into stocking Glow sticks in 1.5" and was wondering how many would rather have that size over the 8" even though there higher in price?

I have tried other sizes and the 8 inch work the best for me.

I like the 8" one buddy..I think the smaller one would not work as well for what I use them for...
Thanks for asking...I know you are always looking to get the stuff we really need...

how do you use a glow stick that big? are we using them for the same thing? tipping the rod for better visibility? I would think smaller is better for that especially if you have to tape them on.

    Hey Pete,
The 8" ones and the Cat-Bobbers - go together like a "Hand & Glove"
    +
With 8" of glow stick -you could use them for a lot of other things out there on the water.

Thats how I use them but I use small electrical wire ties to hold them on..also they are the thin ones like you would use for a bracelet not the 1/2" round ones, If that is what you where thinking of..

I usually buy the 1.5 or 2" ones off Ebay, I'd definitely get them from you if given the option.

Yes, that's what I use them for. I use wire ties to attach the little plastic connectors (they come with the glow sticks) to the rod, and then slip the glow stick in.

They are way too big actually. 1-1/2" is all you really need.

I use the 1 1/2 size and tie wrap it to the tip area.... I usually dont use a bell.... and my buddy tom cant hear it anyway..... I dont have big cat bobbers... the big ones would be great for that....

I see the local local salt water folks using them at night (8") for float fishing.....

I have used the 8" for a shore light.... they are great for that... no lantern needed.... (less bugs that way)

Since I tend to collect too much stuff, I would probably buy and use different sizes depending on the situation and use. Like hooks and sinkers you can't have too many sizes.

Yes I would buy the small glow sticks. I use them on my rod tips. You can buy little kits with 2 holders and 4 light sticks in them. The kits are kinda pricey. I saved all the holders and have been buying the small glow sticks in bulk on ebay. I get them in packs of 4 and 50 packs to the box. I would rather support a BOC sponsor than some one I don't know on ebay.

Thanks to everyone that has given input on this..
Were still looking into the small glow sticks. Price is one thing holding us back. That and We hope to release our Glow Kit for rods, this is something I think will replace glow sticks on your rods.
I know its going to cost us $$ on Glow stick sales. But something that can help fisherman. That is what were after, Save you cash and time. If we sell less glow sticks. So be it we will find something to replace that section of the sales.
    Pete

I use the 1.5" everytime I go out. They're perfect for the rod tip!
