Fished with my friend Ralph and his buddy Greg. We almost didn't go due to the weather reports of extreme cold and wind, but good thing we didn't let that stop us. Aside from busting ice on the river and generally freezing our tails off, we had a damn good day. We notched 10 citation fish, including three in the 50's. And hooked up on a couple doubles. Greg got a new PB of 56#. Action completely died at noon. The morning bite was probably the best 3 hours fishing I've ever been a part of. Companion boat notched 11 citations with the biggest 60#. Saw no other boats all day. The fish were not deep.

    56,56,52,49,44,44,39,34,30,30 and a bunch smaller.

Here's a couple pics from the trip before on 12/17 with JayBee. I never got around to posting it.

We got a 60/31 double, and his friend Ron got a new PB of 58#.

Nice job Josh!! Capt Hugh and I, along with my buddie from Ohio (gettthenet) had a good day also. 62.9 was our biggest! (skinny water also!!) Were we smart for fishing in those conditions, or should we go ahead and have ourselves committed!!:smile2:

Good day Josh, me and a buddy went out yesterday also and got totally skunked :smile2: he was scared to go through shallow water to the warmer water. His boat wouldnt hold due to the wind and no back anchor and when he told me he had bait I didnt know he had frozen shad only lol, But being on the water catching nothing was better than staying in the house doing nothing....... good thing my girl isnt a member lol.
