So I went to the public landing on saturday. It was a cool night. I had two rods out fishing with shad head on one and a small fillet on the other. I was getting plenty of bites. There are still a lot of leaves floating around. Anyway - caught a 12 lb blue on the small fillet. There must be some truth to the idea of using smaller bait in the winter. Anyway - it looks as if the tides are turning a little and the fish are biting again.
I will try to get the picture of the fish on here later.

I heard the Landing was closed on Friday and Saturday, was it actually open for you?? What time were you down there?
Nice job on the Blue, and is the big tree still stuck right below the ramp?

The public landing was open friday and saturday to park. I saw a few guys launch their boats...but I can imagine it would have been hard to do. A barge came screaming by and knocked all of the debris loose from the ramp and the river boat - damn near lost my pole from getting stuck on a tree. Anyway...here is the picture. It isn't a hog but it was a fish.
