A few years ago I had a 9.9 Merc, and had to switch the impeller. Now I have a 25, and it's due for a new one. Could it be much different? My 9.9 was an early 80's model, and my 25 is a '01. Didn't know if much has changed in years, or Horse Power.

It's something a do it selfer can handle I believe. Or do you guys reconmend taking it in somewhere?

its not a hard thing to service
if your a bit unsure then go to the library and get a book on the engine or go buy one its not tough to do.

Not much to it, but if you don't have the service manual or one of the after-market service books for your motor, you should get it. Either the Clymer book or the SELOC book is what you need, with Clymer probably being the better of the two. Maybe $15 or so for the book and it'll cover everything you need to know.
