Hello everyone. I'm from Minnesota and looking to fish the Missouri river for blue cats. I will be fishing by boat. This will be my first time blue fishing. I'm thinking the Sioux city area.. maybe council bluffs near omaha. Any advice on locations ( not asking for anybody to give up their honey...
Back home I fish mainly shallow rocky rivers with a decent current. I run a lowe 1860 tunnel jet. I guess my question would be how bad of an idea would it to be running my setup in the missouri river and smaller rivers up here in the state.
Just trying to check-off my species bucket list for a shovelnose sturgeon- any tips or more specifically areas on the MO or the Kaw/Kansas river around KC would be best. I've fished several times with nightcrawlers and catch everything else but them :O_o:
So....finally made my first two MO river trips.......and..........it was a blast!!!. So much learning to do, but I caught drum, flatheads, channels and blues, plus always fun to catch gar on my rope lures!...My little boat looks like an armored carrier, but its a tank and was easy to navigate...
looking to find others that would be interested in finding catfish tournaments in Missouri to try with me. I am from the NW corner of Mo but do travel around for fishing. Hoping to find others that would like to go fishing with me.

Let's see it!
My buddy Jo fought this 47.5# Flathead the other night at the Kansas River in Shawnee, KS. It's about 10miles away from where...
Moved to Lincoln four months ago from southeast Minnesota. Looking for someone who wants to go catfishing within an hour or so of Lincoln, including the Missouri. I've mostly fished the Upper Mississippi River, so reservoirs and a river with fast current like the Missouri are new to me. Also...
I recently purchased a helix 10 and was hoping to see the dikes on the missouri river. I just bought it so I don't know if you will be able to see much detail on the river, or if I am going to need to get a mapping card. If anyone could help out that would be awesome
Newbie here. I have a 16ft jon boat with a 20HP mercury, trolling motor, 2 25lb anchors, rod holders and big catfish gear with a live well. I catch flatheads and channels regularly, but I'd love to bottom bump with shad, but a little fearful of the mighty mo- can I fish the MO...
