My very dear friend Eric with a pesky little shovel head he caught one night in 2006. We were lucky enough to catch the very last fades of sun as it set on yet another beautifull Mississippi River evening.
Here is my 2005 SeaArk Big Daddy, powered by a Yamaha 225 Horse Four Stroke. I've sure enjoyed fishing out of her these past two years. I honestly feel like she's lucky for me too, which is a good feeling to have. : )
Caught this Big Beautifull Blue in August 2005. She took a 9 inch filet of Asian Carp down the river 50 yards before I could coax her back to the boat. She is too date my best and longest battle with a Blue Cat.
My PB Blue 94 Pounds, caught in August 2001. Unfortunately, the fish perished in the river while I waited on Fish and Game to weigh it. It was this event that set me on my Catch and Release Crusade and to do my part to protect these great fishes.
Another shot of Eric and his proud dad Branden posing with what would have been a new IGFA All Tackle World Record for an Angler under age 10. Eric gained every inch of line, but unfortunately, I touched the rod. A great Catch nonetheless.
I was fortunate to have my buddy Ryan in my boat when he whacked this 40 pound pig. His new Personal Best. He caught the fish on a submerged wing ****, in 25 feet of water on skipjack. In typical BOC fashion, Ryan CPR'd the fish. Nice job Ryan!!
Two beautifull Blue Cats caught by Branden Stomberg and his 8 year old son Eric during Cuzfest 2007. Branden is NO STRANGER to catching Big Blue's, but on this day, his young son Eric showed him how to get it done with this 72 pound Monster Blue Cat. Coincidentally, had I not touched the rod to hand
