I’ve seen these over the years but never paid much attention to them. I had thought at a quick glance that they were just a normal sinker slide. I didn’t know they are a quick release. So now I’m really interested in them. Do any of you guys use them? Do they actually work as good as I’ve seen on YouTube? I would love to here your thoughts on them.
They do work but can get snagged in itself sometimes in current which can be a pain.
I never had any problems with them in slack current. I have had a fish that crosses other lines then it does get caught up in other lines quite well.
I never had any problem with slide coming off the line.
They are easy to attach and use.

Thank you for the info. In Maryland we can only use 2 rods. So I should be ok with the lines crossing factor. Just never happens to me. I’m a bank fisherman so anything to make things a little easier is great.
So they just sent my order out today. I called them to see when it was being shipped since I ordered it Friday morning and it wasn’t sent yet. I mentioned I was getting the 4 RigRap red rig boxes for a DD’s. Do you know he actually checked my order and thought I needed the red deep rig boxes. He gave me the deeper ones that are a $1 more a piece for free. What a great company. Really nice people not just out to make a buck. Really care about fisherman and just want them to get what they need. I had to share this with you guys. I was really impressed!
I ordered this one:
This year really needs to just be done. So on Aug. 8th I order the 48 EZ sinker slides and the 4 RigRap rig boxes early in the morning. They didn’t get sent out until Monday of this week. So 4 days after I placed the order. They were supposed to arrive on the 15th. Even USPS tracking said they were on schedule all the way up to DC. The package got there on the 13th. Pretty much 2 hours away from me. And hasn’t progressed since then. I was hoping to have it before my birthday today. But that’s not happening so. I work for UPS so believe me when I say. This year really sucks. Come on 2021!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of abnormal stuff happening now...shipping, product availability, etc, which used to be pretty reliable, has been kind of hit and miss. I have been lucky so far...everything I have ordered has been on time or a day early, and my new rod will arrive today...a day late...but no big deal. My wifey ordered some clothing from an American company...Amazon Prime....two day delivery. Turns out the product is made in China and wont be here for a month!!!! So, if product is actually manufactured over seas but sold by an American company there may be delays. Hope you get your order soon................and, Happy Birthday!!!!
You younger guys are quick to wish time away. Maybe it just hasn't become real that you only have so much time and then it is all over. Happy Birthday
This virus has made life more difficult by manufacturers having more folks off work or just having issues doing their work with the safety restrictions in place.
Then there are other issues with you getting your product but if it is political, this is not the place to discuss it.
Thank you for the birthday wishes guys. I was just disappointed that’s all. I’ve been with UPS for 16 years and this year has definitely been the hardest. I’ve worked through this whole thing. We are overloaded like crazy. It’s like our Christmas season but year round. Fishing gets you away from all of that craziness to where you can actually hear yourself think. And also enjoy what God has created for us. There’s just something special about it for me.
Damon; I feel the same way...I hunt and fish a lot, and once I am in the woods or out on a lake or river, I am in heaven. I actually feel more secure and at peace with life being "out there" than I feel at home.
Damon, First I want to thank you for the work you do. It has always been an under-appreciated but humungous task and current conditions make it especially harder.
I also do agree with fishing being a release from the grind so to speak and that is certainly needed in these trying times. We all just have to lean back and go with the flow that we are bound by right now and look for better times in the furture.
Sorry, so late but I got the RigRap EZ sinker slides about a week ago. They work great really easy to put on and take off. I highly recommend them. The RigRap rig boxes also came. The idea is great and they work really well. The only thing I don’t like about them is that the plastic is really thin and cheap. I wish they would’ve used a better thicker plastic than that. They will break very easily.
Yeah, I got a 48 pack. Now they have a little plastic piece on the inside to pop your line up into the top channel of the slider. To hold it in place so it doesn’t come out. I found one that it must not have molded right. So I couldn’t get it to go up in the channel and just had to thread it on normally. But 1 defect out of 48 isn’t bad at all. Very happy with the product. Great price for the quality and quantity you get. Highly recommend to everyone!
If you look closely at the 3rd picture you can see the little plastic tab I was talking about. You have to get your line past that to get it in the upper channel.
About 4 weekends ago I we took our camper out for a little weekend getaway. There was a creek nearby so I got to test them out. They worked great and with the addition of a quick clip never had to tie a single knot. Just change one rig for another. The line slides very smoothly through them easy to take off and put on. I was mostly early morning and night fishing. So it’s perfect for those low light conditions we fish in a lot. Didn’t catch any catfish but I did catch a 26” Carp. It was a lot of fun. I would recommend EZ Sinker Slides to everyone. You won’t regret the purchase.
Carp can be a ball and seem to be plentiful. I enjoy adding a good carp outing here and there through out my year.
thanks for the pics.
Tom
