Goodrich79, That is a beauty! I would think that there is a story to go with him...? Maybe share it - especially the part about the hook with the line broken below the eye of the hook!

Thank you sir. Funny story. After 12 hrs of fishing with only 1 flathead shy of 5 lbs, my sons and I were ready to call it quits. It was around 8am and as we started packing up my clicker started screaming. Ran over, set the hook and knew this was finally a decent sized fish. After getting him into shore he barrel-rolled and somehow snapped my 60 lb mono leader....without thinking, my oldest son jumped in the river and bear hugged him until I could grab him. So really, all the credit goes to him because this one would have got away. We have been trying to catch a big one for 9 years on and off due to flooding and whatnot so this was a pretty exciting experience for us
Joel, I would have bet big money that there was some hand-to-hand catfish wranglin’ going on with that line/hook situation. Thank you for filling us in!
Now, as Ramon said, go out and get a bigger one!
