Running late this AM, slept for over nine hours this past evening/night, why, beats me, because I napped several times yesterday. Made some homemade hotdog chili yesterday and it was GREAT, ISYN. Gurls even gave it a thumbs up. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/223538/jeffs-hot-dog-chili/

All dat rain the WG's said we had coming our way yesterday, didn't happen. But, they are saying the same thing fer today >>> https://weather.com/weather/today/l/28037:4:US. Major TS is suppose to arrive at ten bells !! We shall see bout dat.

Staked up my pepper plants yesterday and did some weeding in the Cuke/Zuke/Squash row and in the raised beds. Put a tad of fertilizers on the mater plants.

Went down to the dock to feed the sunfish some bread and I'm sad to say, not a single one has returned to my dock and brush. Mother Nature is doing some strange things this year or something else is going on, like yard chemicals, IJS.

Y'all mentioned some mighty fine characters yesterday that have passed on, and I liked them all, but one that's not around that I found amusing was Post, the Dung Beetle. He had a way with words and stayed on the wrong side of the Administration from his first post until his last, IJS.

Morning, me rowdies. 69* with rain and rain in the forecast thru next weekend...or maybe not. Only the shadow knows!

I've got a hankering for some fried chicken. Makes me think of OPJ, too. LOL!

If y'all could send up a prayer for my newly widowed neighbor it would be appreciated. The chemo is doing a number on her and she is having a rough time of it.

Time to go. Y'all have a goodun.

PS: Joey, you need to start heading this way with the tanker truck. We will be giving away free water in a few hours.

Mr Mac, They sell them in a larger version also there's a few different styles... One is called the Barbeque Doughnut...It has a grill right in the middle of the so called boat and it has a umbrella that is a couple feet above your head lol I'd pay damn good money to watch a group of people floating around a lake on that thing when a high wind came up and the umbrella is beating them senseless and let's not forget about the hot Grill in the middle well this is going on lol

I always liked the dung Beetle, I like people who speak there mind... Tell tales... Speak boldly with out a care of what other people think...He knew how to put a story together that made you laugh and think... I'd bet good money on it that he wasn't... Uneducated... Could you imagine Him & Tonya breeding and unleashing there spawn into the world lmao

Think Sir will be able to go straight with that boat? NAH.

Watched a couple utube thingies this morn. Line tangles seem to be the norm. Here we get two poles. Three would be nice. Two on big bait, another for getting bait. But then we can not use gills or carp here. Bullheads yes. Guess we too close to Minnisota. Chubs can be used also.

Got lights on boat and even a shade umbrella. 40 bucks at menards. Pvc pipe with scraping mounts. Yes drilled holes in new boat into compartments.

Well time to go to town. Drop off paperwork to get paid. As mama said, "the hermit is going to town?".

Later yal.

Flying squirrels are cute, we have very few, can only take two turtles , snapper n leather back combo, all others are protected.
I've been out west in the high heat, didn't bother me, but, like this am the humidity was 96%, try that with heat, like down in the swamp, no more for me. LOL Well we gona check out the river in the am as it's finally below flood stage and see what has changed. Yes it will be hot n humid.

The second attempt on my colonoscopy was a success. VA canceled the first. Good for another 5 years.

Jim and I used to PM back and forth on how to best snipe some of those cheap coolers. He told me to hold off and the price would drop and they kept getting higher. Never met him in person but he was a good-un.

I think Tim left his peppers in pots in the sun and may have let them get a little thirsty.

Picking up the flags at the cemetery at 4. Then planting some tomatoes. Keith am I taking a risk? They say 35% chance of rain.

Joey, Keith really wanted to know ...what... Do you have around there to kill, other than time...
Here lately it has been gnats. Don't know why, but they've been everywhere. Strange thing is though, no mosquitoes yet (certainly not complaining).

Hogs, yotes, squirrels, water moccasins, squirrels, skunks, armadillos, squirrels, possums, and squirrels.... Oh and plenty of fire ants

I did have a 4" green grass snake in my wife's flower bed the other day. I think I go it, couldn't be sure though. Wasn't a trace of it after a 12 guage #4....
