Had a good night. Caught three flatheads and a couple channels. Smallest fish was a channel and it hit my biggest bluegill. Go figure. I was catching the flatheads directly below a dam and idk if that was an advantage for the fish but they fought and felt alot bigger. This was the biggest fish from tonight.
I was ok with the beer going too quick. But the last bluegill was the biggest and I saved it for last so I could eliminate all the smaller flatheads but then a very small channel eats it instead.
Matt, I'll take you up on that soon. I've gotten lazy and still haven't fixed up the canoe yet. That, and adjusting to mowing again. Maintenance around here is kicking my you-know-what. I did get out in the backyard and catch a few of these yesterday morning though...

That's good bait. All I've been able to catch is bluegill but I'm not complaining. Hey you think a weed whacker would be easier to cut that part of your yard that's steep?
Less than a six pack. I took a few bluegill but I had more at home. I just didnt think it was gonna turn out the way it did. Poor planning on my part .
Nice catch. I love fishing below low water dams we haven't had enough water for
river to be flowing good where I usually fish. But over the weekend we got enough
rain it's flowing too good now. It'll have to slow down some to be able to fish it.
In emergency equipment one should always carry a quart, fifth, or even a gallon of good tenn luquer. Works good for sanitising hooks in hand or such. Also as pain killer should the need arise.
If nothing else it us good trading material for bait or to jump pickup.

The water was really flowing last night. It's almost the norm now.
I miss when I could walk across to the other side. I wouldn't try it in my boat now.
