Ok B's, here we go again, for the 7th time.
Sam and I said this post needs to have some mention of the Spoonbill hex and other Voodoo weather hexes Johnny throws at us.:sneaky:

Ok, now on to my fishing day.
My dad and I fished Greers today and I took him to the farthest reaches of Middle Fork. We went to a shoal and that was far enough in the ComboCat.
We were just fishing and not targeting any particular fish. Of course, whenever we got into some White Bass, I would get some texts from the Big Man, but I can't repeat them on here, unless there isn't a filter:sneaky:
Anyway, we caught 30-40 White Bass, Black Bass, Brown Bass, Crappie and even 3 big Hybrids. I did have a monster crappie I saw, but it pulled off.
I spit out the infamous Jimmy Swaggart quote....."Forgive me Sammy, for I have sinned...", when I tied on a Spinnerbait and pounded some buck brush. No fish until my dad swung in a nice 18" largemouth on it.
I just fried the bass and crappie, and am about to enter coma #37 for 2015.

There is a lot of Nasty Weather out there now. I sure hope all of us in Ark are spared and prayers to those in Okla and other areas for the damage they have had.

Well, no fishing tomorrow as I fished today.
I was all set in working on our land and around the shop when I got the call from John S saying he was here and just pulled out with the boat. We met at secret ramp S and headed out. After about 30 minutes of finishing the update on one of his H'bird 10's, we started fishing.
The TVA was running 140k and it really did a number on the fish.
We found them, but only managed one fish about 7 pounds.
Johnny was blasting us with an Eater fest from Kerr and had the Gaul to include a Greasy Channel in one of the pics.
Sam, and I and even Jr ran him hard about that slight.:photogenic::sneaky:
John and I fished several more spots and found some big fish in the timber, but just got a few bites and donated 2 rigs to the limbs.
Working tomorrow in burying 2000' of underground dog fence for the Lab we'll be getting when the house is finished. Sam thinks it's for Zeke.:o_O: Sorry my friend, when you come down here, Zeke will have to be Kenneled in that Cat Carrier you and Johnny are famous for.
Oh, speaking of, Johnny's yacht is STILL blocking the ramp.

Ok, here is another dedicated to Mutt.
Since I didn't fish today/too rainy, I met T after her school got out and we ended up at G's kitchen AGAIN.
Fried chicken, greens, brown beans, hush pups, onion, toms, and half of T's okra, and sweet tea.
We detoured to Dairy Queen on the way home after hitting up the Home Store and Home Depot for an Oreo Blizzard.
It's Lights out now.:sleeping1:

Dang, I just got some troubling news.
My dad and I were out at our land and stopped at the store on the way home.....4 big baking taters and steaks for tonight.
My wife and mom are out shopping and just said they were stuffed from lunch and wouldn't need supper.
Hmmmm:o_O:.....troubling in that do I offer my dad 2 steaks or just 1 and me 3?:sneaky:
Now, let's get totally back to ME.
I got a Christmas Card from the big man today and it had a nice picture enclosed (copied from his work copier on plain paper.....nice one my friend). The picture was from the last SeaArk tournament we fished down here with him holding that OU Cowbell he would ring on each fish we'd catch. STB man, that was a good bell THEN, but now that Dec 29 is looming, we don't "need more cowbell".
Fishing will resume Monday or Tuesday and the weather looks great.
Let's hope Johnny or Garrett doesn't affect us any more than they have the past week with rain.:mad1:

...Dang, Bo is running the guilt on me.
But Tut Tut Tut.....don't get to hasty. Things didn't work out for today to be Steak day so tomorrow/Monday will be steak night.
I ran to Huntsville with T this afternoon to help her at school, and a stop at Betty Mae's was in the works for lunch.
Last week at G's, I had the Smoked Neck Bones special, but today.....Nope, I just couldn't bring myself to ordering the special.
So, I got Fried Chicken, Rice/Gravy, okra, collard greens, nanner pudding and corn bread and kool-aid. I was fighting the Z's this afternoon but managed to get some work done.
Fishing Tuesday!!!
Oh, what was the special I passed on?.............Chitterlings and Ox Tail.:eek1:
Enjoy Mutt

Yeah, Sam is better off "leaving" the Cub:unhappy: and moving on with this boat. But I have been after him for days now..............what will the name of this craft be?
Jr, Johnny and I have been throwing around names, but can't divulge them on here.
Now, if he was wanting to use that boat for the 1st time, he could bring it down here tomorrow and fish Wilson with me.
Alarm time is 4:30am and fresh Jacks were caught today..........and lots of them......and big ones.....all at an undisclosed location.:ninja:
Might even fish Wednesday too, as Alabama Garrett has thrown in Thursday as the day for a deluge.:bruised:

Nope, I am a hot sauce user, but just not the "variety" I gave you and Jr a few Christmas's ago.:eek1:STB.
Now, let's turn to ME again.
Today was Wilson and hopes of a big one. Nope, just eaters.
It was a good day out as I only had to battle the current, 110,000cfs.
It was flying but nice calm winds were to be had.
Here is a shot of the biggest and first fish.
We have family coming in off and on the next few weeks for the holidays so my fishing might be on hold for a while.

Ok, I guess I'll post YOUR pics, but let's spread the Christmas cheer to me first and then pics.
No fishing for a while as my sister is flying in from Iowa.
My mom and T are in Nashville as I type this picking her up at the airport. Don't know why she didn't spend the extra 40k on a bush plane ticket to Huntsville:laugh:
She will be here for 4 days and Wednesday, our oldest daughter and her husband will show up down here. They, like T and I graduated from the U of A, but T and I realized that being a Razorback fan, you HOPE to win 6 games each year, and 'Bama EXPECTS to win a Naddy......and the U of A down here is still in the FBS playoffs....and that's why T and I back a better team..........and our oldest is going to get a "few" Roll Tide items for Christmas.
I need to con Sammy into a friendly wager on the Dec 29th game. It would be nice to see Sam in a "script A" cap after Bama puts OU and the ghosts of Brian Bosworth packing for Norman.:biggrin1:
Here is Sam's pics. Zoom in picture #3 to see his OU shades. I thought the B's ONLY wore Whataburger glasses. Hmmmm, I smell Mutiny around here.

and a shot from Shaffer's Texas BBQ yesterday up north of Lawrenceburg, Tn.
Obviously the Brisket, Sausage and cornbread was mine and the brisket sandwich and ribs were T's. That potato salad and beans were just what was needed to put us away last night.:sleeping1:
Enjoy Mutt.
Oh, and I just made another pan of brittle that is shrinking this very minute.

Someone needs to come down here and remove me from this Brittle:o_O:. T made 2 more batches Monday night. I am swimming in peanut brittle., but not to worry, Santa brought T and I both Onyx Auto-Inflate life vests, so I won't drown in brittle......just float and eat it.:biggrin1:
Oh and Sam, all your OU gear that Santa brought you can be easily matched by the Roll Tide gear that was opened down here yesterday.
Bring on the game Saturday, and I will say this, if (and that's a big IF) Bama loses, I will wear my OU cap for the next 3 fishing trips.
Hmmm, I know Sammy couldn't hold up that and wear a Nick Saban signed Elephant Trunk in the Rocket. but I will be a good sport if we lose.
And my 2nd piece of advice for all you thinking that this time next Wednesday you'll be making New Years resolutions of losing weight,......forget it. But if you want to gain weight, come down here and you can gain...........a 40, a 50, some 70's and my friend even caught a 90 last week. So far, I have ONLY gained 65 but will still work to gain more.
Happy Boxing Day.

Well, it was a good day eatin' wise.
Ended the day at Lawler's BBQ in Athens for the big tater, but started the day off at G's in Huntsville like we have several times in the past few weeks.
We took our oldest daughter and her husband and they weren't disappointed.
I had the usual, 3 pieces of chicken, blackeyed peas, collard greens, hush pups, onions, tomatoes and iced tea.
After lunch, which with the rain that was coming down at a rate of about 2" per minute:eek1:, we took them to Top Golf. I had seen it but never been there. It was pretty cool and I had to channel my inner Tom Watson, but now am channeling my inner Steve Austin, as they are going to have to rebuild me. I am sore. I did drive several to the back fence, which if not there, would have busted some cars' windows out on hwy 72.
Here's what Santa dropped off for T and I. Onyx, Auto/Manual CO2 life vests. It will be good to have them on and not know it, especially up around the dam in the summer for the Jack fests we'll partake in.
Speaking of, I am out 2 dozen Skipjack as John Stephens is down and needed some bait for he and some friends who are down from out of state. A 5 gallon bucket holds exactly 24 Magnums, so that's what he got.
Johnny, tell Garrett to let up on the rain down here.

Just got in from a quick 3 day trip back to Arkansas to see our youngest and middle child, who is in on leave from Ft Bragg.
It was a good trip, but quick and we're wore slap out.:exhausted:
But, not to worry, we did eat well while there and I documented some of it.
Of course, a few pics to the B's allowed Jr to remind me instead of Smokin' Joe's BBQ yesterday, I could have had Whataburger.:unhappy: I know, and I could have had a choice of 3 of them too. But BBQ is what was "requested" so that's what we had. That Triple will have to wait until Sam brings me a few AND a dozen pies when he comes down this spring.
The Winter Blues is this weekend, but I won't fish it. I just didn't put in enough time on Wheeler and don't want to make the run to Wilson and deal with the lock.
Anyway, I'll go watch the weigh in and work on fishing it next year. Come on Sam, we'll fish it next year, and there are sure a lot of boats down here now.
It should be a big event.
Here's some for Mutt to chew on.
BBQ Pulled pork, seasoned fries, okra and a bowl of Blackeyed peas for my New Years good luck.
Oh, and we made a quick stop Tues night at one of the Tunica coffee shops and I made some damage at the buffet today to the tune of a lot of fried chicken, turnip greens and boiled cabbage. I had some more things, but can't remember as the chicken and greens had my attention. T will tell you that the cabbage had her attention.:eek1::mad1: Somewhere in Mississippi, the cabbage made an appearance, if you know what I mean.:ninja:
