Planning a Milford trip this month. Anyone still been hitting them shallow or should I set up for drifting? At least I can get some shad down there, better than NE...
Thanks.
Not to hijack but I'm heading to Milford this weekend wondering about the fishing? Got a bunch of guys going, 4 boats mostly fishing for walleye & wipers. I was wondering about the bank fishing near Acorn Lodge on the east side, would any blues be up shallow enough for bank fishin?
Find some fresh shad and a shore that has wind blowing in. Blues are spread out all over the lake, with the cooler weather they should be putting the feed bag on.

Melford lake has always worked out well for me. I caught a 67 lb flat 3 years ago there where Rush creek comes in. We have been going to the Federal side by School creek there is a cove right east where the Blues love. All sizes up to 40 lbs (that was the biggest for us this year) It is bad for the Blue Algae and parts had been closed. I don't know what its like right now.

Thanks! Did alright on wipers last night from the bank in the howling wind. Set up in a cove now caught some shad in the net but only 2 drum so far.
