It's time to get ready for Winter and wash those long-handles to remove anything the splatter shields may have missed. Thanks for the last one Mac with a B. Let the Ramblings begin.
Debb up here we get tule fog...And when it's bad you can't see but maybe a God Honest 3 feet in front of you. Scary and it comes out of nowhere...You can be driving and all is good...BAM... Right into a massive wall of fog....Anywho wanting to tell everyone have a safe and blessed weekend...
Well, I'm glad everything turned out OK Mac. B. Scary ain't it.
Speaking of B and I sorta did, you may remember a month or two ago I mentioned that I had a bee tree that fell in a storm but didn't go all the way down. It's a really bad idea to try to relocate bees out of a tree and into a hive after the end of August. Their chances of survival are close to zero so I was hoping the tree would stay hung up in the other trees until spring. It didn't. It finished falling last week sometime and broke up. Most of the tree is in the creek and that includes the hive. That's that. I've known about that bee tree for a long time, and I'm thinking I should have cut them out when I had the chance - but I didn't.
Been shopping all day with the Mrs. She got some items and we also got a birthday gift for our 4 year old Grandson. We are heading out early in the morning for Kansas to attend the BD party.
Luke with that sinus drainage can you taste the pastrami? If not let me know maybe I can help? LOL
Cheap the first thing you have to remember about bee trees is, their hollow.
Even late in the summer, proved they were healthy , a apiarist may have been able to save them. Some times they have to feed them through the first winter then they are good to go. I had a relative that was a bee keeper.
Now that it seems you bemoan the fact you are not native to this country, well neither are honey bees! ROTF

Good morning from the sovereign micronation of YONDER.
I've been busy preparing for the annual deer hunter invasion and have it almost under control - but now there is the secondary threat of the CARROTHEAD MOON.
Here is an actual picture of one, usually only seen in NE Missouri but since the proliferation of the UBER drivers - it may be seen anywhere. BE AFRAID - VERY AFRAID.
Howdy, me favorite peeps in da world. It's still funky here with a drippy fog and 65*. Mr. Bo had to make an extra Grandma run as the friend she usually shops with had a death in the family. He had nothing better to do since he can't trim trees in da swamp.
Supper tonight: backstrap aaaaaaannnnnndddd.... I'll figure it out later. Most likely some biscuits will be involved and if Mr. Bo can persuade me ( hee hee hee!) gravy. I love being persuaded. :biggrin1:
Been working on a bunch of Christmas ads this morning. Now it's time to package the goodies and get back to hookin'.
Fubie, I darn near cried when I ran out of the cranberry beans that Jim had sent us. Need to get some more. Regular pintos just aren't as good. I have a voice mail that he left me saved on my account. It's from his last trip to LBL and he was so happy. Just didn't have the heart to delete it.
Mr. Mac, have you been playing with my crystal ball again?
Time to get back to doing. Y'all have a goodun and play nice.
Good morning from the shores of Lake Norman, may The Man Upstairs watch over us all, today and the days dat follow, AMEN.
I received in the mail yesterday some Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil to see if it will help with my inner ear nerves (left one) making better contact with the receptors in the my brain, thus maybe correcting my balance problem a tad. This oil is from the stalk of a Hemp plant and the seeds, but not the leaves. Starting out with a low dose (100 MG) and might need to move up a tad with the dosage depending on the results. It is legal in all fifty states, where as, MJ is not.
FUBIE, savings time or saving time, which is correct ?
Widow Lady ain't doing good, ate very little of her breakfast, some of her lunch and just a bowl of soup for supper. Appears to be in a lot of pain and the pain pills aren't helping at all. Frankie talked to her doctor yesterday and he said he would see her Wednesday, I believe, but for Frankie to continue with her existing meds and pain killer.
I might go perch jerking this AM when the FOG lifts, might knot.
Later Gators, time fer me to hit the couch and see ifin I can find the hour that I lost last night.
Happy AM and/or BS
Usually more of one than the other.....IJS
Have a full plate for awhile. Work has gotten almost to busy.
Mom is having problems. Took her to the ER yesterday and they kept her over night. Dizzy spells and nausea. She fell Friday night at home and spent 3 hours on the floor before having Jimbo call me to come help. Did a Scats thing while on the floor so I had to clean her up and get her up in a chair to rest before getting her up to the walker and slowly walking to the bathroom with success. Mom weights about 250. Jimbo has no short term memory. After dropping him off at the house last night at 6 bells, he called me at 10 bells wanting to know where mom was. He didn't remember being at the hospital at all. Made him write a note saying mom was in the hospital and we would pick him up at 9 bells this morning to go see mom and to go to bed.
They need each other to survive. Mom's body is failing and Jimbo's mind is failing. Mom's brain is perfect and Jimbo's body is perfect. Mom also stated for the hospital a DNR if something happened. Gota make a lot of things come together in the next few days.
The HMW has been an angel for me right now. In good hands.
