Thanks I used the yellow tubing worms yesterday and they worked ok I did notice if I dried them with a rag after they had been in the water the bait stuck to them better.
I guess to post a picture on here anymore is impossible, I like using the bait tubes with the holes in them, I always remove the sponge and treble hook and replace with a 5/0 hook, works great.
Floyd, posting a picture now is simple and you don't have to re-size it like you used to. If the pic is on your computer, just have the curser where you want the picture. Click on "Upload file" then find the picture and select it. You go to the bottom right corner to choose it, and it uploads where your curser was. not much more simple than that.
I mostly use the CatfishConnection "cool cat short tubes" just because they are cheap and I usually end up placing an order for lots off other stuff away, so I just get them while im there. But I noticed the black, for whatever reason, is always stiffer than the other colors..But I find that tubes of any make get a little harder to load after dark when the bait cools and gets a little thick. Then I go to some of the mesh type, they load up and hold thick bait better...I know you can ad a little cooking oil when it gets thick to thin it down, trouble is when it gets warm again, it ends up runny.
Rummaging around walmart today I found this air conditioner filter for a tad over 4 bucks..It 20"x30" so that's 600 sq in.....A bunch of 1" holders to be had there!!
Ok I read somewhere using Ribbed Curly Tail Grubs with #5 J Hooks worked Good with Sonny's.
Tried it, first Cat just ate the Tail off, then Cat got the whole Grub off. Finally Hooked one and it got off the Hook at the bank. So I'm going back to Tubes and Treble Hooks.

I use the mesh type with a treble and it really holds the bait.
Can't remember the name brand.
Sonny's is always the first to try around here.
Starks in PDC Wisconsin had sonny's yesterday,
But they are 1 case less of Black Velvet !
Good luck
I use Sonnys super sticky dip bait on a plain #6 treble . But first mix in cattail fuzz till the bait can be formed by hand . Take a small piece and roll it tight together then twist it around shank of hook then pull it down to barely cover points. This uses a lot less bait and will stay on 5 times longer in current than just dipping , and makes for better hookups. If in a place where 1-1/2 to 3 lbers are hitting decent , I have caught as many as 7 per bait .
I also use this method with deer liver . Just run it through a blender then mix in the fuzz. This need kept cold .
Check local laws on using the cattail seeds.
Google is my friend! Not my idea. Gonna try different pipe cleaner/hook combos. I'm lazy so circle hooks were made for me. I keep my catch so not so concerned about gut hooking so gonna try Kahle hooks. I also bought felt hat cleaning sponges cut into pieces (50 pieces for 9 bucks) but they work better with dip vs punch bait.
