Mostly, it sucks.
Rains entirely too much for my taste.
Plus, being a crusty old fart, I don't feel really good in cold weather.
There's also my limited mobility that most shore fishing access just isn't suitable for.
So mostly I only fish where I can take my boat.
But with fuel costs being what they are and the better fishing spots being a good drive away, I don't get out much.

I have been tearing up skipjacks off my dock at night under the lights in south Mississippi. I caught the state record a few weeks ago and have caught and lost some even bigger recently. Personally I believe fresh or live white trout is just as good sometimes even better than skipjack for catching big blue cats.
PM for details.
Just keep the location of my dock classified.

Hey everyone. New to the page. Looking for advice on fishing from shore. I live near Norfork lake. I fish often. I have had absolutely no luck. I've tried every rig I've been able to learn, all kinds of bait. Everything from freash chicken livers, dried out garlicky chicken livers, bluegill, worms, kool-aid marinated chicken, garlicky chicken, and the list goes on. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello, I saw the Tracker Corner Transom covers. What are they made out of and what is the cost? Also, would what you have in your picture fit a 1993 Tracker 17.5 Deep V? Thank you!

Denny, think the wife and I may go on a trip next week just scouting for ramps. We have a place on and fish the Ohio but in the past five years or so what was once a great fishery has deteriorated to the point we may fish six days with only one Blue to show for our efforts.
Thanks for responding, sounds like you have them figured out.

Hey Denny,
Really enjoyed the pictures of your recent trip. I have been considering a Miss. trip, can you suggest any public ramps between St. Louis and Cape where the odds are good I won't return to find my truck missing parts? The Miss. kind of intimidates me, stronger currents and apparently "wing dams" that can be concealed just inches under the surface.

My favorite flathead last year!

Beautiful fish!!! Wow! No weight but guessing about 15 lb. There was a kill off 3 yrs ago, so the size dropped by 50% here.
