Fishing Story: My brother and I were jugging with our noodle jugs and we had caught a few small Channels around 2 - 3 lbs. and we had some jugs that I had set out in about 4ft deep in 6ft of water at the edge of a hole that dropped sharply to about 15ft deep. One jug had been tripped and was standing up but was not moving so we thought we would go reset it and when we pulled the boat up to it, it went under suddenly and ran several yards before it came back up and the chase was on. Every time we got close it would go under again so on the last approach we shut the motor off and drifted in to it and was able to get it in the boat. This is the biggest Flathead we have caught so far on a jug. It was hooked on a 5/0 Eagle Claw circle hook. We ended up catching 12 Channels and 1 Flathead.
