I just did a search for his name and his Profile says he has not posted since July 30th. He did click the "likes" button three times last Wednesday on the Ugly Stick thread.
Thanks so much, James. I haven't been able to find anything I don't like about the Ultimates, yet. I love the 15.5, and believe it or not it paddles quite well even loaded up. Don't know how I got some of those images posted twice. Only hit post once. Any idea on that?
Cool. You've got the OT really tricked out nicely. Love what you did with the canoe, and the graphics, too. What kind engine is that you've got hanging back there on the seat/transom/stabilizer pod. Very ingenious!
It's an old 70s Chrysler 3hp or 5hp motor. Don't know the exact model. There's literally nothing on it. The paint has covered everything. I can't take credit for setting up the Canoe. I saw it for sale last year when I lived in upstate NY. Didn't need it had to buy it after I saw the scheme. Heck the Mrs saw it first and said you can get it , I like it

Well, no matter. That's still the coolest canoe I've ever seen, and I love the patriotic theme, seats, and everything else about it. You've got a good Mrs., Bud.
Well, Derek. Ya gotta do whatever floats yer yak! OC makes a good boat. Hope you'll be happy with her. What is the T shaped thing up on the bow that looks like it's stuck in the ground?
Well, I've really enjoyed being on the forum, but I've had the same experience with posting pics. I posted pics of my Native Ultimate and most of them showed up twice, but I only posted them one time. As long as the guys on the forum don't mind, I guess I won't fret. I couldn't find a way to delete the dups, either. What kind of fish finder do you have? Did you see the tru-hull transducer setup in my pics. Very clean, and works great.
Just added extra rails for other rod holder locations. My concern with adding a higher seat woild be making the kayak top heavy.
I ditched the black container for a backpack too, the backpack is lighter and fits more snuggly under the elastic bands increase I do flip I won't loose my stuff.
Unfortunately, there are often tradeoffs, Zeke. Narrower beam equals more speed. Wider beam usually means more stability. But, hull design also has a lot to do with that. Did you read the second article on best fishing kayaks?
I bought the Prowler because of the potential for better speed, but really had no way of knowing that reaching far forward or far rearward would be sketchy until actually paddling it.
I have both and use either I wish. I have rod holders set up different ways on 4.
