planer bobber ???

can you guys tell me about these and do they work good on the lakes?

Ran across these today when I was doing some research for a similar item for bank fishing.

Planer boards have been used for years on the Great Lakes and other big waters. Same concept with the planer bobber
on a smaller easier to manage scale.

Now I have not fished with these yet, but I'm seeing lots of links coming up on google for videos of these.

Personally I'm hoping to take the same idea, and build me a couple small test models out of rigid foam for bank fishing the river.

I'll post how my experiments come out.
