Well I keep readin that Truman and L.O.T.O are the lakes to fish for big cats.
Since I`m new to Missouri and dont yet have a boat, any sugestions on where to fish these lakes from shore would sure help. Maybe I`ll take the family camping up there.
In fact I havn`t fished anywhere in Mo. yet and I`m thinking of trying up there first (I`m in Ozark) before Table Rock or Lake Springfield.
Thanks Russ

Hello Russ From the shore you can fish from the bank at the tailrace. They will be slowing down the water a little pretty much everyday towards the end of the week. You will need some bank sinkers from 2 to 8 oz depending on where you set up on the bank to hold to the bottom. The best way to rig is to use a 3 way swivel tie a drop off one end say 1 or 2 feet long out of line lighter then your main line and another drop for your hook about 4 inchs the same test as your main line or even heavier. Look for breaks in the flow or eddies. Some guys do like right in the main current if you do that remember bigger sinkers. Hope this helps you out.
Here are a few links you can look over.

The baits of choice are shad, bluegill, perch or even drum. You will need a cast net for the shad. The others can be caught up here at the dam but if you know of any ponds might be easier you could see about city ponds there in Springfield.
