Anyone having any luck with anything besides our whiskered friends? I saw some guys trolling on the Ohio river last week for sauger/walleye so it must be getting close for them and the white bass family. Anything else bending the rods these days? stripers, smallies, walleye, bluegill....? I know alot of us target catfish but break off to fish for other species when they are on.

i will have to look into these other non-whiskered fellas...jk...the stripers, walleye, and sauger are biting good on the illinois river, mostly small ones though.

I have access to a good size pond that's 20' deep and I catch lots of bluegill in there. They average between 8" and 10" long, I like bream fishing when they're that big. Have also caught several bass around 12" to 15" out of there, also got one just over 5 pounds this spring. There's channel cats in there, but there's so many dang turtles you can't get to them.

catch the turtles and make some soup or deep fry them. the eat real good, and you will have your pond back. those dang things can ruin a small pond...

The white bass seem to be back on around the tanners creek area in the last week or so. I caught 5 in about 5 minutes on saturday.
