New pb channel catfish for the kids

Went to Pleasonton with the rugrats today. Only had one bag of liver left so about 3 hours was the limit of their patience today. I was providing expert pinpoint casting assistance and putting their corks right up under the feeders.Circle hooks ensured that all they had to do was reel.Snoopy rods weren't gonna cut it. Jr. caught a 11.9 lb channel and Ava caught a 7 pounder. We only caught 21 but we had some good ones.Unfortunately my camera was not working {DEAD BATTERIES}.We stopped for lunch and went up to Lacygne to make a few speed runs. We got rid of as much weight as possible and managed to make 67mph much to the delight of the youngsters.Took a few pics once we got home and I got fresh batteriesJr went dove hunting with me Saturday morning but the cold weather had pushed out all the doves.The same field that had 3,000 doves on Tuesday...got our limit in 1 hour had no doves left.

The kiddos got a short attention span. We would have run out of bait anyway. Last 3 times I've caught 41,65, and 102. It's kind of slowing down this late in the year.I only caught fish around 1 of the 4 feeders.

You should see when I set up somewhere with dead trees or barbed wire fence. I've got about 30 dekes and I line 'em up on the fence and the real doves will land in amongst the fake ones.But now they disappeared.Jr was just along for the ride he doesn't have an M2 Benelli.
