Default Powerful fish locator

Well its time to replace my old locator. I want to go with color. I'm wanting to get one with a lot of power. I'm not interested in all the worthless gizmos such as gps, speed, temp, blah, blah, balh. I only want to find the shad and then the catfish. I need a good contrast with lots of detail. Seems like when I look at the better (?) color units they feel like they have to throw a lot of gizmos on it to try to justify the higher cost. My last one likes to fog up the screen. You would think that a fish locator would be water/moisture tight. Any suggestions.
