Early muzzleloader season

For those of us who got to hunt this weekend with a smokepole, how did your hunt go?
Saturday I got busted by a doe walking to my stand in the early morning. After a couple hours I decided to hunt next to a pond where I saw a small 6 pointer which I let pass. On the way home Sat. I saw a decent 6-8 pointer on the railroad tracks, right next to a busy road. Sunday I only hunted in the evening and didnt see a thing. I have a feeling the bright moon may have let the deer move at night which restricted their daylight movement. At least thats what Im using as an excuse for blanking out. lol

I've been smoke-pole'n all weekend and took off today and tomorrow. Im about to head out. I saw 5 doe and a bobcat saturday. Thats it so far.

I saw plenty of slick heads over the weekend, and one Spike. I didn't take any though.

I finally saw some deer yesterday, took a nanny right after sunrise.
