Default Fish/Depth Finders

i will be gettin a new aluminum john boat in the next couple of weeks and i was wondering if anyone knows of any fish/depth finder models that would be compatible with my new boat. i have never owned one before. any info would be appreciated.

i picked mine up at bps for less the 250. but also got add on speed and water temp hummingbird 535 i also aluminum river jon 16'

Mike, first of all welcome to the BOC!!!!!!! All of the guys that posted are correct, also you may want to check ebay, they have some great deals on them. Also BPS has the Eagle Cuda on sale for $69.99 the last time I checked. If you are not familiar with the Eagle brand they are basically made by the parent company of Lowrance, and I hve nothing bad about them. I myself use a Lowrance X-47 on the console and a Eagle Fish Mark 480 on the flipping deck, and I they are both under $200.00 each if you watch the sales. Hope this helps.
