I am in the market for a sonar unit. I have looked at a bunch and don't know, but I am thinking this unit offers alot for the price. $200, I could go to a 727 or matrix 47 or a lowrance unit. I don't need mapping or GPS just a good clear picture of the bottom. Any ideas out there.

Thanks
Jim

I run the lowrance X102c and so far i'm very happy with it. If it shows fish 9 out of 10 time I catch them there. And it seems to be holding up great and if you ever ride with me you would see thats a good. when it time to go we will go

Thank you, I'll go with the x102c. That should be quite and improvement over my little old garmin. I just don't have the experience to know what is really good. This board has saved me years of learning on my own and probably $200 keeping me from buying something I won't be happy with. Thanks again.
