Catfish in foil tonight on the grill.
Fish seasoned with some lemon pepper and garlic salt & butter.
Sprinkle bacon bits & and a little Italian salad dressing over the top.
Sides will be tomatoes, onion, cucumbers in vinegar and oil.
And also a cold pasta salad.

Well, I gotta tell ya...I love blue yummies, but Norton is a Bud town, and I got told when I moved here that in two months I would be a bud man. I am more or less sticking to Coors products for spite. Almost 5 years later, I haven't strayed much.

Tonight I whipped up some man burgers (2lbs ground beef, blue cheese curds, one whole onion diced, and jalapenos chopped up and all mixed together) and cheesy taters with banana peppers.

I am on a diet so I opted for a rum and coke while I grilled.

Tommy, sounds like more good eats on your part!!

That lake getting any water in it?? Whacked ducks on it a few years back, had a buddy that used to live there. Them Norton boy's I knew could do some fine cooking and drinking also.........must be in the water or something. Maybe it's got to do with being squarely in the middle of BFE...........ain't got much else to do:Happy:

Oh man, we have waaaaaaay too much water out here. Though, 5 years ago everyone was complaining about the drought and now all we can to is complain about too much water....weird.

Yeah, you know there really isn't much else to do out here. If there isn't anything to hunt or fish, I'm kinda screwed. It seems odd to most people that the closest wal mart is 60 miles away, and we don't have a nice sit down restaraunt, that isn't a bar.

Now that I know she isn't reading over my shoulder and probably won't see this...I had to learn how to cook, my fiance can't. Her cooking isn't bad, if you don't mind the taste. So, I do most of the cooking, thus no bitching on my behalf about how it is.

Having fried fish cakes with German potato salad and fresh corn on the cob.
Also throwing on some salmon on the grill. Going to make a dip out of it.

Wish everyone a happy 4th of July Holiday.

The wife was born in Germany and the recipe was handed down from her mother.

I'm sure there are a few different way's it is made but its all top secret..he!he!
Its pretty easy to make but there is one ingredient in it that makes the differance and is hard to find around here.

My wife's brother lives in Gemany and is a chef and they came and stayed with us last year for 2 weeks and he make's it the same way we do.
