Woo, i skimmed through some posts and you guys are shootin some nice ones. i only got three but i love em to death first one is a 1932 production winchester model 12 pump. my second is a franchie semi-auto 20g. third, is my favorite my fox double barrel 12.

I'm with the Rocket,Remington 11-87 Special Purpose,all black synthetic,fully rifled shooting lightfields,3-9-40 nikon pro staff,poke out its own holes at 100yds,shooting 8 in groups at 150,and not out of a lead sled!!

A Winchester Model 12 my uncle bought in 1948. It's in excellent shape and the only shotgun I own and I'm sure it will last me the rest of my lifetime.

Nothing like resurecting a old thread, lol. Depends on what is meant by "go to gun", if you are talking about a shotgun for home defense, then for me it would be a Mossberg 590, but if it is for hunting then it would be a Remington 11-87 Special Purpose. Not saying they are the best, but they are my personal preference and both are more than capable of getting the job done.
