Thanks fellas, the pics are great. I have been slowly replacing mu abu 5000 & 5500 with 6000 so I have the clickers. Now with a little effort I will have some spare reels ready. Great Idea and info.

Great info, thanks for this. Has anyone added a clicker to a 5400 AB ?
I have three of them I want to do, and need some info.
I have a 6600 c-4 with a clicker plate, can I use the side plate as a reference for the grove to be added on the AB plate?
I pulled the AB sideplate off, and looks to be clearance for the above clicker mod. Just need to order the parts.
I guess what I am asking is, are all the different reels with different clicker types, have the grove on the sideplate in the same spot? Anyone have a clue, or a BTDT to a AB reel?

Thaks for the welcome. I thought I would pass this along, The grove in the sideplates are in the same spot, but the simpler clicker has a notchout needed, per pics here. I ordered the aboce clicker on ebay, and used them for my 5400AB's, but had to remove the AB system, that I never used anyways. I also ordered from Ebay, same vendor, some clickerplate assemblies, to do some 5400c4's along with power handles. These simple mods have turned the Abu's into my go to everything reels, and love using them for liveLining. Many thanks, for the help, and thanks for the welcome
Dan
