I'm wondering if the 5000 series reels are the same diameter as the 6000 series?
AS I'm not familiar with the 5000's,
Thx.

I got an answer to my own question,, The side plates from a 6500 will fit a 5xxx, or 4xxx series,, I've converted a few non clickers to clickers by , simply exchanging the left sideplate, containing the clicker mechanism..
Kinda cool, having a little narrow, 4600,or 5600 with the innards of a C4 6500,, 6.3;1, carbon drags, clicker, nice bearings,, turns those little reels into a nice catfishin unit,, loaded one up with some Power Pro braid, and gave it to a friend of mine, on an Ugly stick...
He's thrilled at using it to catch channels and flatcats!! It's lightweight, compact, but, powerful!!
