Don't tease. When I was cooking when we were racing I made the smoked sausage in the grill at the truck and when we got back after the race the food was GONE and there was about $75 on the table and a note that said it smelled to good and they left the $ to make up for it. We figured we made over $60 considering what we had in it!

Fried SPAM sandwich with Boetje's dutch mustard! Or cold SPAM sandwich with sliced home grown maters and a smidgen of helmanns real mayo. Doesn't matter as long as you wash it down with an ice cold Blue Ribbon! Love that SPAM ! The Blue Ribbon may be substituted with Budweiser,Busch,Natty,Mich,Millers etc. etc. and yes even Stag in a pinch!

Ya know, I like to eat (obviously, look at my avatar!), but when I'm camping there is fishing going on, and I'd rather fish than eat. My kids have finally learned that when we go fishing, Mom isn't going to play gourmet, she wants to fish.

You guys know how to eat.
I like to keep it simple. Mostly one pot meals. One of my favorites is Smoked ham, green beans and new taters. Soften a chopped onion in butter, Hunk of smoked ham, green beans and new potato to fill Dutch oven. just cover with water salt and pepper to taste. Save the juice add some onion, garlic and the left over ham and a package of navy beans. cook low and slow all night and you got ham and beans for lunch. Guess that's a one pot for two meals. Them are darn good beans.
For me there has to be hush puppies with fried fish. I make mine from Jiffy cornmeal mix, 2 or 3 green onions chopped green and all, some chopped green pepper if you like fried in the fish grease. That's good eatin. You can use this to coat fish fillets also.
One other thing I like when camping is dill bread. French bread sliced, buttered and covered with chopped dill weed. Wrap in foil and heat. This butter and dill weed is great on pepritch farm warm and serve rolls also. If ya like ranch dressing you will probably like this, but you can do them with garlic also
I don't waste fishing time on breakfast. Sausage and biscuits made the night before, hung high on a tripod above fire, just to keep warm. Put a slice of cheese on them and wash down with coffee or a V8.
