i like to use shirmp, and chicken liver, together

get a bag of shrimp and contaner of chicken livers, let both thaw, mix in a larger container with a lid (such as cheap tupperware) though any will do as long as its water tight. get size hook desired (im currently using Gamakasu 3/0 fineese hooks, can be found at walmart) place small peice of sponge on end (about the size that go's on dipbait hooks), place shirmp on hook, soak hook in container (to get some blood in the sponge), cast(dip over side, what have you) and hold on.

I've posted this before but you will not believe the results you will get with the secret 7 bait that Jeff sells with Team Catfish. You will just have to try it for yourself before you will believe the results. The channel cats will absolutely hammer this bait like no other that me and Sam have used and that includes fresh bait and a lot of different pre-paired baits including DK's. Another example was last Friday. We were not even seriously fishing and was testing out Sams boat that he got out of the shop Thursday evening. We hit some 1.5 to 4 ft. water and also fished a drop from 10 ft. to 20+ feet. And caught fish on the secret 7 both places. We caught 2 blues and 23 channel cats in just 3 set up spots. 2 of the fish came on fresh caught shad and the other 23 including the 2 blues were caught on the secret 7. Give this bait a try and you will be glad you did :cool2:

It depends where I fish. I have choice of 4 rivers within a 1 hour radius of me. The IL I like Cut Shad or live shad. The Fox is BlueGills, K3 is floating Burger or Chicken liver, Desplaines is bluegills or shiners. Thats not counting the lakes which I like soaking my baits in garlic like chicken liver and burger or shrimp.

Fishing with Daughter is Crawlers or Chicken liver in a lake or local pond.

I use chicken livers most of the time. Another thing that works well is shrimp soaked in chicken liver blood. I usually let it soak for about 2 days in the refridgerator
