There's a spot between rt. 22 and Freedom Way thats been pretty good. You have to access it from Freedom Way. There is a gravel road running south next to the trail overpass. Follow it around until run find the river (all the way to the end). The is a inlet creek there. I've caught a lot of fish there, but nothing over 15#. I will be down there Saturday if I get lucky.

Welcome to your new home Ed. lol:smile2:
Try fishing under the bridge in Chester. Ask how to get there at the bait shop just a little north of it in Chester. I forget their name. Good guys. I had a hold of some pretty nice fish there one night with Baitkiller, but something was out there that they would run me in to and cut my line.lol I suggest heavy line and get them up as soon as possible.

Hello River Dog. That spot Neocats was talking about is a good one, just be aware that this is the mouth of Harmon creek and Weirton Steel uses Harmon Creek as a warm water discharge, so you will be constantly cleaning off your line if you cast into the creek itself. Another good spot is located in new cumberland just below the dam it is a bit of a walk but well worth it. I have never caught anything over #15 but i know they are in there. I use #60 pound braid, and have had fish grab hold and just pull until the line breaks. even if the cats aint biting something will be i have rarely left empty handed. p.s. Cheney's also sells minnows if you don't feel like catching them on your own.... good luck....
