Take corncobs and soak in diesel fuel or even better drill the center of the cob out and pack full of sawdust glue the ends and soak in diesel.Also orange peels can be used for fire starter,another good reason to pack some fruit with ya

Corn Cobbs aren't bad to cook over, by them selves. Helped My uncle pick his Corn back in the early 60s and lunch was steak and baked potato cooked over a bucket of corn cobbs,in the middle of a never ending corn field. Best steak I ever had.
