I'm glad that Joe Torre finally got the kahunas to tell George Steinbrenner to take his money and stick it up his A$$. I hope he has a hard time getting someone to manage his overpaid Yankees. Oh,on second thought I hope he hires Tony LaRussa to manage the Yanks. I doubt if their 2 egos would be able to co-exist.

larussa is my favorite manager, but if he cant handle the st louis media, whats he gonna do in new york? i think the yankees would be better off with girardi or mattingly. what would really be funny is if the yankees dont make the playoffs the first year without torre. George is an idiot. he needs to leave the managing to the managers, and stop signing names and start signing players. it was farm system players like jeter, posada, bernie williams, and mariano that created a dynasty in the nineties, not names like arod, giambi, abreu, and damon.
