they are that shallow already? Do you usually go straight out from it or along the southwest or northeast side?

    Default Clinton crappie

I managed to get my limit of crappie at clinton today, and a 21" walleye as a bonus. It was one of the best days I ever had crappie fishing.

Where were you fishing? I went out on Wednesday and tried the face of the dam and off the rocks in the marina and didn't get so much as a single bite.

I was around the corner from boat ramp #2 in the state park about halfway between the boat ramp and the swim beach cove. I caught fish in several places on white twister tail jigs casting out in 6 to 8 foot of water. They arent real shallow yet, I think they are still cruising around looking for places to bed. I fished the dam last night but didnt get any crappie I caught about 10 or 12 white bass before dark though.

Cool man. I might have to give that a try tomorrow afternoon if you don't mind me going out to the same area. I'm trying to get my fiancee into fishing and it's always easier when there are better odds of her catching something.

If you go out there give me a hollar, I'll be in a white t-shirt with oil stains on it.
