What month do channel catfish start biting in your state
I was wandering what month of the year channel cats start biting good on everyones home waters. For me in SW Va. It seems march is the month that I can tell a difference.

their biting good here now and have been all year

I think Feb, March and April is when the bite has increased for "Spring" and then agian October, November and December. But, like Charles said, they bite pretty good year round.

I usually catch them in early spring when the crappie start to spawn. Maybe early March. But that's just when I start fishing for them, so that's when I catch them. Also in July they seem to be all fired up when they come off the nest. Channels bite year 'round, but I think the hot times are in late winter/early spring and smack in the middle of summer.

here on the potomac I can catch them most all year long And if you have a warm water outlet they never stop there.
Channel cats bite all year here in Ontario, Canada, however the best time to fish for them are in the spring & summer.
They bite slow in nov-feb, but fast and hard the rest of the yr
All year. thats the nice part about the south

The bite is pretty good here right now, but it should only get better around mid Feb to early March.
