    SWEET
I have never thought about that but I am now. Ive got the site bookmarked so I can check it out when Im ready.
Ive taken all the white lil plastic brakes off to improve casting and have had no problems. Is that recommended?
    Great site and thanks again.

Thank you, that was a great link. I have an A-G 5000 that I bought on ebay that was a mess when I got it. I took it apart and got the rust out of it and it works OK, but sounds really bad when casting. Could that be the bearings you're referring to in this post that need replaced?

stolib.... Yes it could be the bearings. I have a 5000 that came with a bearing on one side of the spool and a bushing on the other. Take it apart and see if the bearing is rusted and hard to turn, if the bearing is ok check the bushing for corrosion, clean the bushing and put some of your favorite oil on it while have it apart. Thank you! Drag is also loose, but I think that's cause I got a little too enthusiastic with the oil. Looks like the P/N is in the other thread, so I'm set. Thanks again,
