How to put on cutbait?

I'm a beginner and I was wondering if u guys could help me out and tell me how to put on cut bluegill. I would also like to know how big of chunks to use and what is the best way to cut it. If you guys have any other tips for me I would be happy to take them.

I cut bait chunks vertically in 1/2 - 2 inches, even bigger sometimes. Hook towards the the spine and leave as much hook exposed as possible. I use 5/0 to 10/0 circle hooks.

I tend to use smaller gluegill than most. I like those about 3-4" long.Cut them just in front of the pectoral fins. The head is one piece, the rest is the second piece. I typically use 4/0 or 6/0 circle hooks. The head I will hook through the lips. The body I hook through the thick part near the spine at the cut end.

ya first thing goes on my hook is the head. right through the eyes. or you can go through mouth out top of head. then chunk the rest. depends on what your looking for. buger fish bigger chunks. usually mine about 1 1/2" wide. i hook through the gut first then back through the thick part. make sure any scales that are on the point not past the barg are removed.

i use 6-8/0 circles.
