    Default Power Pro

Just noticed that 1500yrd spools can be bought straight from China for around $50 on Ebay. Has anything changed w/ the quality over the past few years as this is about half what I used to pay and 25% what stores like Bass Pro charge?

Beware of counterfit lines! The fake lines use just a little different logos than real lines. Do a search for fake line logos. Do not get junk line for the price of good line.

I would be leary of it for sure at that price. Usually if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

PP is good line but I am slowly in the process of switching over to Invicta braid. It is the same if not better quality for less of the price of PP

    Default update

Even after the Shimano buyout Power Pro is still listed as made in Colorado. Pictures in Ebay listings even say Made In USA. Obviously counterfeit goods.

    Remember the Aquisition..

When we lost them as a sponsor.

We gave away a ton of PP over the years.

I'll probably never buy the regular PowerPro again, but I still have it on a few reels. The stuff just will not go away
The fake PowerPro was a big problem a few years back, it's definitely a risk of buying from unknown Ebay sellers.

I've always had good luck with PP, trying out the Team Catfish tug o war on my 6500c3 right now, just put it on last night. When I saw "direct from China" I knew it sounded bogus, all the PP I've bought always had made in america right on the box, one of the reasons I've always like PP. Oh, and btw, stay away from spiderwire, used it a couple times and it's the worst braid I've tried IMO. Next braid I buy will be Invicta.
