We seem to have a good deer crop here this year. Drought prolly killed most of the apple trees though.I did buy a handfukk of peaches for my late nite ice cream while i'm kicked back with Milo watchin the tube.Like said before a horn don't mean jack diddly to me other than something to drag with.Killed 1 record book buck in all my years of trompin in the timber and didn't register it even after havin it officially scored.

If i get a shot at a good one fine, if not them nannys make summer sausage just like the rest.

I'm gonna kick up some pics here in-awhile. Let me comment a little here first...............

John, I've hunted this place since 1985. There are 5-8 deer taken off here every year, (the legal ones anyhow), some true wall-hangers. In fact I know where six of them are hanging now. Every one has a story. I've shot only one buck in that time. A basket buck that blew by me at full tilt. Kinda skinny runt like me. PO'd me 'cause he scared me. I thought I'd poke him at full run and 40 yards just to see if I could do it.........I did it and it has been the last buck I've shot. Everything I kill now are does...

Bubba, it's true we let the kids or young folk poke at the bucks. If I can find it I'll show ya a deer taken off here last year by a 15 yr old kid who poked him with one them sharp pointy things like Geronimo used to use...........

The pics I'll show are only run of the mill bucks here, just some pretty pictures for ya. I ain't showing the bigger bucks 'cause I just don't do that.

Ya know around here macho guys always try and kill a buck. Some of them pretty pathetic looking deer. They then shove them in the back their pickups and run around to the beer joints showing them off. Geez, I'd as soon have a pretty gal with a nice rack get in my pickup and then drive around the beer joints showing her off.

Like yourself John, I see folks parade all over the place haulin their deer around. Myself i gut mine where they hit the ground and take em straight to camp or home, which ever may be the case.Usually get a few pics and after that they get the bark knocked off and packed in ice. We eat a lot of deer meat and my ego is in the freezer. I like to bowhunt but in the temps down here ya better get it on ice quick, or all ya did was kill something.

Ok, Mette. Ya probably won't slobber over these, but remember they just the small ones...........

The first is of deer coming to a just poured out bucket of apples. The 2nd pic has three bucks in it. See if ya can find the 3rd buck. The 3rd and subsequent pics are of just deer. Don't know how many I'll download for ya. If it were Ostrom and his dogs he'd probably put in 10 or 15 pics and bore ya.

Sorry PB, awake now, yes I can tell the bucks, they got horns, from the does.

Now for the people that don't know you I'll explain a bit. Apples 035 (Large).jpg some a you been round mules know what a saddle sore is, not the one tween yur legs, but on the mules back cause the saddle was too loose. Now PB done been ride
in this buck around bare back while drinking beers and jumping fences cause the dang dogs was chasing them and wore all the hair off that bucks shoulders.

3-fer 066 (Large).jpg now for those that ain't used to spot'in that kind a thang , the front buck is looking at the third buck which over to yur right and for some reason known only to Iwoyginns appears to be out of velvet already.

Mette, ya did good on that three-fer. Why oh why that 3rd buck out of velvet I have no idea. I think those deer have been hit with too many deer flies Mette. I got one pic of a doe covered with 'em. Too damn dry here this year.........

Let me show ya a pic of those two brothers who heard something over their shoulders. Prob. one the neighbors taking a shot at his wife's boyfriend. I live in that kinda neighborhood......... It's a cool pic anyhow.
