I used to make a lot of wine myself, usually 6 gallon batches and after 3 rackings I'd get two cases. Sometimes up to about 50-60 gallons a year, mostly blackberry, raspberry, Concord grape, Catawba grape, Niagara Grape, elderberry, white and red muscadine, and occasionally strawberry. I hear Missouri is a very good state to grow wine grapes. Someone gave me a bottle of homemade Norton/Cynthiana wine from Missouri once, plus a half gallon jug of Missouri Concord. Great stuff. But it's been 3 years I guess since I made any wine. I just got tired of drinking any kind of wine other than German Moselles and Rhines, and beer is cheap enough itself BUT, you can make better stuff at home than you can buy.

sounds like you need to go to budget liquors. theres plenty of commercial stuff to enjoy while yours is turning into magic.

TYPICAL--TYPICAL--TYPICAL I know people who make moonshine ----BUT THEY DON'T DRINK ANYTHING What I make is usually much better that you can buy most times, just because you make beer and wine doesn't make you anything but a brewer for starters and my kids call me a moonshiner too but I don't make any anymore
