Default adam i have two sets on my boat

i havent tried down the freeway but they are solid at full throttle on the water. i just remember a couple of times using threeway swivels and my weight wrapping around the other two rods because the poles sit so close together. but overall their great no more rods on the deck

I prefer not to have my rods up in the air while on the road (plus they wouldn't fit under my shed), but on the water it's fine. I went ahead and bought some horizontal holder made for storing rods on a wall, cut them to the proper length, and glued them to the inside of the sides of my boat. That way the rods are always out of the way and I don't have to move them until the next time I go fishing.

I use one on the water, but not on the freeway, my boat sits way to high.

    HAHAHA! Rods not included! Duh!

hey adam...before you mount them ... make sure your rods will not block your view while you operate your boat.

If you're not in any hurry to get them, check Amazon and Ebay. There's lots of different types out there. Some may work better than others, depending on the kinds of rods you have, available mounting space, mounting location, etc. I've been considering doing this too...I'm tired of allocating all of the lay-down space in the truck bed or boat to ensure they don't get rolled on by loose gear.

Fine while on the water ,but on the hiway now it is only my small rods that ride in them .Also keep a check on them for cracks from the sun ,seems I need to replace them every couple years from sun damage.

If you guys used sinker slides you wouldnt have to worry about line coming off while you're riding or sinkers banging against your rods during transport-the slide clips on your eyes and holds on. the sinkers can be removed during travel and you just clip them on when ready to fish-and that helps you not have to retie everytime you try a different location and need to switch to different size sinkers-so you dont have to be a bait eerr bass fisherman swapping rods everytime you need a new sinker size lol
