I made a set line last night that I put a jug on. So is it still a set line or is it technically jug fishing now? I don't know what to classify it, and is it legal in the state of Kentucky?

I made this thing and it didn't do squat. I just checked it. It had been in the water all night. The turtle liver was still on it. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.
Trying to picture what you have. Do you have a limbline or bank pole with a jug? When I hear set lines I think troutlines.

Its a 12 ft piece of trotline with a single hook on the end. I put a jug on it three feet from the hook, so it would be able to drift around. I have it tied to a four ft stick that I banged into the ground back when it was still soft. Now the ground is like concrete.
Here in MO that would be a trotline since it is anchored at one end. Whether you have 1 hook or 33 we can have. You have a good idea as the line can float around with the jug. Here if it floats unanchored you have to be right with them. How have you done with it?

I haven't caught nothing with it. I'll give it one more night, and then I switching it back to jug fishing.
