    Default 72 lb Millwood Flathead

72lb flathead caught on a empty hook on a trotline at Millwood recently. Fish looks very poor...I guess that's why he bit a empty hook. No telling what he weighs if he was in good condition.

He looks bad because he just finished the spawn, They all look like a truck dragged em down the road! Ive read for several years that millwood was the place to be for large flats, just havent made it there yet! Heck of a fish.

My guess is the same, just left the nest. I often put tin foil on a few bare hooks on a trot line to catch fish. It was probably a silver hook he saw flashing and thought it was a shad. Still a nice fish.

Empty hook? I can't get one to bite a baited hook. Looks like I been doing it wrong all these years.
