Penn M9 the hard way

While sitting around with a bum foot I decided to take apart, clean, regrease and oil my new to me old Penn M9. Was going smooth until the dog gear spring went flying. Got it all back together and seems really smooth now. Really like this old little reel. One thing, there was only one drag washer in it. Is this normal?

And I DO KNOW all about that little bitty spring.. LMBO ....

Yep, you are right it's a 9M. Guess I was dyslexic. Looks like someone has had this one apart before then. Thanks for the link. Actually i just ordered a tention end cap from them a couple of weeks ago for a GTI 310. Wish I would have waited now it could have saved me on shipping.
