I grew up Flathead and channel fishing on the Big Vermilion near Oglesby. Caught many a 20lb flatty and lot's of nice channels. Almost gave up catfishing for good when the local cement plant (who owns all the land around the river) put up gates and denied fishing on their property. Still can't fish any of my old secret holes as the land is actively patrolled by security even though the plant has basically shut down.

ya, Buzzi-Unicem (Lonestar) just pisses me off with the stuff they have pulled with closing areas and completely closing the river to boat traffic by lowel.
