So we got out to the lake around 2pm Thursday. Had a hard time catching some gils but finally got some good ones. 8pm dropped our lines and waiting for the run. 11pm no runs yet. My wife's little brother started getting ancy so we started to pack up to call it a night. As we were packing up we got a runner. Picked up the pole tightened the drag and set the hook. The fight was on. We were dragged out of anchor and around the lake for 20 minutes. The fish started to come up and then took off again. After fighting for Close to 35 minutes I thought I had the fish tired out and then it took off again but this time snapping my pole in 2 spots!!!! No fish but an amazing fight. I will be going back! Thanks Gary for all the help!

sounds like a interesting fight. bigger pole next time? LOL just curious area of lake you went to? not exact spot though. keep that to yourself as not many that big in the lake.

WOW!!!! sounds like one hell of a good fish. time to upgrade the gear. too bad your weren't able to land it. you will get em next time. thanks for the report.

Sounds like a great fight, just curious what kind of gear were you using might give us more of chance on guessing how big he was. But glad you enjoyed yourself i havent fished that area since my high school days.
