This sounds so much like me. LOL
I use to fish a local Mtn. Lake and kick ass on crappie..... I learned from two excellent crappie fishermen.... Three of us in a boat and working together....
It was so nice to throw a crappie jig and let it sink out and get slammed each time.... Like every cast ... gets to the point of time to clean em.....
Now I know how to do the cleaning and save the left overs for the Flathead or channel fishing...

DEAD?? Do they quit eating?? Strange indeed. I catch them all year long. I use the 2&1/2 pounders like these for Flathead bait. I eat the 1 pounders.

I fish for em, but not as much as some of you! Not that big of a population here, catching 30 a person is rare. If you wanna do that yo gotta go to a private pond.

I fish for them beginning in January then add catfishing and turkey hunting to the list of things to do. Multi task.
